Satyameva Jayate 2 box office: John Abraham arrived with high hopes all across the country, but unfortunately, the picture has come out to be different on day 1. Reports are not good as it has bagged one of the lowest openings in recent times.

Before we move on, let us inform you that John’s latest release has released on 2500 screens across India. Interestingly, it is learnt that the film was given priority over Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan’s Antim during the screen count war. Unfortunately, the outcome isn’t favourable.

As per the reports flowing in, Satyameva Jayate 2 did a business of 3.20-4 crores on its day 1. The number really disturbing especially after the kind of response Sooryavanshi managed to pull off. The advance booking itself was very poor for the film but there were some hopes on spot bookings. Unfortunately, the picture remained the same.

Negative reviews and social media negativity has surely impacted Satyameva Jayate 2 as no expected growth was witnessed during evening and night shows. Rather, in some places, there were reports of shows cancellation. If it’s true then it’s really tough road ahead for John Abraham starrer as the film will now compete Antim at the box office, which has a star value of Salman Khan attached to it.

To be honest, the strategy to release the film on Thursday hasn’t worked for the team here. Yes, it did manage to get good screening, but that’s it. The word of mouth isn’t good either, so no big jump is expected on day 2.

John Abraham’s last release was Mumbai Saga. MS was released after the first Covid wave came to an end. It had made 2.82 crores on day 1. If we compare Satyameva Jayate 2 with MS, the numbers are really heartbreaking for the actor.
