Pawankhind has revived the Marathi industry in a big way, especially when a big box office success was needed after the curse of the pandemic. The film once again showed a huge jump, putting a glorious total on day 17. Yes, early estimates are already in for the day, stating that a big milestone has been achieved.
Last time we have reported that the film will soon enter the top 10 list of highest-grossing Marathi movies. Now, the film has already entered the list, and it looks like a long theatrical run is remaining with many more achievements to come into a kitty.
As per early estimates flowing in, Pawankhind has done a terrific job on its 3rd Sunday i.e. day 17. It has managed to earn 2.28 crores*, which is a good jump from day 16’s 1.63 crores. Already a blockbuster, the film has now accumulated 26.90 crores* in its run of 17 days at the box office.
On day 17, Pawankhind entered the list of top highest-grossing Marathi movies of all time. It took Priyanka Chopra’s production, Ventilator, out of the list. It even surpassed the numbers of historic Marathi blockbuster, Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy and became 9th highest grosser. Released in 2009, Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy had earned a staggering total of 26 crores at the box office from Maharashtra.
Now, in the next few days, Pawankhind is expected to topple the numbers of Timepass 2 (29 crores) and Duniyadari (30 crores). It will also beat the collection of Naal (32 crores) and Timepass (33 crores) in its lifetime run.
