Now, let’s check out its day 1 advance booking collection in comparison with War.
War’s opening day supremacy since 2019!
Starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s thunderous pair, War had an excellent pre-release buzz and it enjoyed a huge benefit of Gandhi Jayanti holiday. It saw never seen before response in advance booking as it fetched a staggering 26.90 crores from pre-sales for the opening day itself, which is still the highest collection for any Bollywood film.

Amid a lot of unnecessary negativity for Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has turned out to be a much needed tonic. All thanks to terrific buzz for SRK’s comeback, the film has earned a whopping 23.20 crores through opening day pre-sales (update as per 9:30 pm). It’s now clear that War pre-sales collection will be history by tomorrow and the Shah Rukh Khan starrer will become the highest grossing Bollywood film in day 1 advance booking.

Now, as Pathaan is going to cross War in pre-sales, the question arises in mind- will Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film take over Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s film by beating its opening day of 53.35 crores (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu)?. The answer is- yes, there are chances that the figure could be crossed as SRK’s actioner too is arriving in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. However, if we only compare the Hindi version of Pathaan with the Hindi version of War, the latter is out of reach as of now with a whopping 51.60 crores.
