Joining the list is Gabbar Singh 4K, which is set for a grand re-release in selected theatres and states across the country. Considering the star power, the film is registering a rocking response at the box office through the opening day and premieres’ advance booking and is on its way to creating history!
For those who don’t know, Pawan Kalyan celebrates his 53rd birthday on September 2. On the eve of this auspicious occasion, his 2012 blockbuster is being re-released in theatres. The action entertainer will be arriving in theatres in the remastered 4K version, so fans are excited to catch it on the big screen. Scheduled to release on September 1, the film is enjoying a crazy response at ticket windows.
As per the trade report, Gabbar Singh 4K is on its way to creating history in Hyderabad by beating an all-time record of Mahesh Babu’s Murari 4K. Earlier this month, Murari was re-released in theatres and it sold tickets worth 1.5 crores for the opening day in the city through advance booking alone. It’s a record figure for a re-release in Hyderabad. Now, this record is in danger as the Pawan Kalyan starrer has already crossed the opening day pre-sales of 1.2 crores in the city (including premieres).
As there is still a day to go for Gabbar Singh 4K’s re-release, it will easily surpass Murari to create a new record in Hyderabad.
Speaking about the overall nation, the Pawan Kalyan starrer is witnessing a terrific response and so far, it has sold tickets worth 2 crores. In overseas, the film has registered pre-sales worth 50 lakh, pushing the overall opening day advance booking tally to 2.50 crores (including premieres).
