For the last few days, a piece of news was circulating in the industry stating all is not well between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar. The news was further fuelled by KJo’s statement refuting all casting reports for Sharan Sharma’s next for Dharma Productions. Interestingly, Kartik was earlier said to lead the Sharma’s next.

For the unversed, Kartik had two projects of Dharma Productions including Dostana 2 and Sharan Sharma’s next. While KJo himself put a full stop to the casting news of the latter project, as per the latest reports, the Luka Chuppi actor has now dropped out of Dostana 2. But what really happened that turned everything sour? Scroll below to find out.

Reportedly, everything was good between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar until the actor started showing off his starry attitude. It’s learnt that Kartik wasn’t arriving on time for shoots and shown ‘unprofessional’ behaviour. All such things led to differences between him and KJo led Dharma Productions.

Kartik Aaryan had already shot a 20-day schedule for Dostana 2, but post that there was a complete mess of dates. Thus, as things weren’t going as expected, both the actor and the production house mutually decided to part ways. Moreover, it’s learnt that Kartik has been permanently banned by Dharma Productions.

Meanwhile, on 13th April, Karan Johar took to Twitter and cleared the air on casting anyone for Sharan Sharma’s next. He wrote: “There have been lots of speculations and conjectures on The casting of Sharan Sharma’s next film for @DharmaMovies…just want to specify that the cast of the film hasn’t been locked as the screenplay is being finalised as we speak…. please wait for an official announcement.”
