A lot of lucrative deals are getting cracked in the Indian film industry right now, and KGF Chapter 2, Salaar have just joined the list. The latest we hear is about a huge overseas rights deal that has been bagged by both above-mentioned biggies.
Both KGF 2 and Salaar are amongst the most highly anticipated action movies of India. Considering all the hype, monetary things are happening at a rapid pace. Now, if reports are to be believed, a record-breaking overseas rights deal has been done for both films.
For those who don’t know, both films are backed by Hombale Films are directed by Prashanth Neel. So, the production house has cracked an accommodating deal for both the biggies. As per a report in Telugu360.com, Phars Films has acquired overseas rights and it got locked for 100 crores.
It means the value of KGF Chapter 2 and Salaar is 50 crores each in the overseas deal. It’s next to what SS Rajamouli’s RRR has bagged. For the unversed, RRR’s overseas rights were sold at a whopping 67 crores.
The money that has been invested is really huge, but the makers are confident that both KGF 2 and Salaar will be big hits among the Indian diaspora.
Meanwhile, speaking about KGF 2, the Sandalwood biggie is all set to hit theatres on 14th April. It stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj and others in key roles. The film will release across the country in five Indian languages including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Speaking about Salaar, the film is currently in the shooting stage. It stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and others in key roles. The film was originally scheduled to arrive on 14th April 2022 i.e. the date on which KGF 2 is now releasing, but due to pandemic, the shooting process suffered a big halt.
