The Malayalam crime thriller, directed by Tharun Moorthy, was theatrically released on April 25, 2025. It opened to positive reviews from critics, with the performances of the entire cast getting praised unanimously. Even the overall concept and direction was praised. Among the audience, it enjoyed favorable feedback.

In India, Thudarum started its journey on a decent note by earning 5.30 crores. With strong word-of-mouth coming into play, it maintained solid hold for weeks despite new Mollywood releases. It enjoyed the successful run for seven weeks (56 days) and finally, wrapped up its theatrical run by earning a huge 122 crore net at the Indian box office. Including taxes, it earned 143.96 crore gross.
