Both Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are performing brilliantly in day 1 advance booking at the Indian box office. Here's the report!
We’re just a few hours away from one of the biggest clashes of Bollywood in recent times. Yes, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are locking horns tomorrow and unfortunately, this seemingly healthy clash has turned into an ugly battle. The makers of both films are leaving no stone unturned to score an upper edge, especially in terms of screen count. But are these biggies able to perform up to the mark in whatever shows they have? Let’s find out through their trends in day 1 advance booking at the Indian box office!
Both films are threequels to the popular Bollywood franchises and are carrying the potential to be blockbusters. However, the clash scenario has restricted the business potential of both these biggies and now, it’s all about which film will take the initial lead and maintain the momentum. Considering the festive season of Diwali, the first few days are very important from the business perspective and it seems that it’s going to be a neck-to-neck battle.
Talking about Singham Again, the film has picked up the pace and has performed well at ticket windows. Despite a late start of advance booking, the magnum opus has covered the ground and as of 9 pm IST, it has sold tickets worth 13.60 crore gross at the Indian box office for day 1. It includes a count of over 4.25 lakh tickets.
As expected, Maharashtra is the top performing state for Singham Again and so far, it has witnessed pre-sales worth 3.40 crore gross for day 1. It is followed by Gujarat with 2.65 crore gross.
Coming to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the horror comedy threequel is in the lead by selling tickets worth 14.40 crore gross at the Indian box office for opening day. In terms of admits, it has sold over 4.32 lakh tickets across the nation.
For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, too, Maharashtra is in the lead with the advance booking gross of 3.08 crore. It is followed by Delhi UT with 2.58 crore gross.
As we can see, both biggies are performing at almost similar levels in advance booking, and it will be interesting to see which film ends up being a winner at least in day 1 pre-sales.
