Reception of the film
Directed by Smeep Kang, the Punjabi comedy film was theatrically released on May 30, 2025. It opened to decent reviews from critics and even among the ticket-buying audience, it saw mostly favorable reactions. This has helped the film to cover good enough distance and emerge as a massive success.
How much did Saunkan Saunkanay 2 earn at the Indian box office?
Saunkan Saunkanay 2 started its journey on a solid note by earning 2.15 crores and by the end of the opening weekend, it made 7.5 crores. During weekdays of the opening week, it faced much bigger drops than expected but thanks to a strong start, it scored a good 11.4 crores. Thereafter, it kept churning out some numbers, pushing ahead its tally.
Coming to the latest update, Saunkan Saunkanay 2 has earned 17.95 crore net at the Indian box office in 25 days. Adjusting for GST, it has earned 21.18 crore gross. Since the film has now slowed down, it is expected to close its run between 18.60-19 crore net.

While the budget hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is learned that the Ammy Virk starrer is made on a budget of 10 crores. Against this cost, the film has already earned 17.95 crores, which means it has made returns of 7.95 crores or 79.5%, making it a Hit at the Indian box office.
