The clear is out by now that Bollywood buffs are still hesitant in watching films in theatres all thanks to a rise in Covid-19 cases across the country. To prove the fact, John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi’s Mumbai Saga dropped on its day 2 despite having good word-of-mouth. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor’s Roohi shown decent growth on day 10, but overall the combined total was on the lower side.

Starting with Mumbai Saga, the film opened by bringing 2.82 crores. We yesterday predicted it to touch a 4 crores mark but surprisingly the collections have witnessed a dip on day 2. It has made just 2.40 crores on Saturday to make a total collection of 5.22 crores. Ideally, this should have come on the opening day itself but night curfew in several pockets of the country and Covid-19’s second wave is spoiling the party. Now, all eyes are set on today’s performance with 3.50 crores expected on the least side.

Other than Mumbai Saga, another movie which is playing in theatres is Roohi. The movie has completed its 10-days theatrical run with 96 lakhs coming in on the 2nd Saturday. It’s a decent growth compared to 2nd Friday’s 72 lakhs. It now stands at a total of 19.11 crores.

Roohi is all set to hit the 20 crore mark today and it’s already in a profitable zone owing to its low cost of making. Mumbai Saga, on the other hand, is currently in the danger zone.
