On Friday i.e. 25th June, the film has accumulated a sum which is half of what trade experts expected to come during Friday, Saturday and Sunday. $30 million is inclusive of Thursday’s paid previews. It’s the best start of the post-pandemic era. Both sides, exhibitors and the makers, are happy that the audience is showing love and respect to the franchise. Now, collections might hit the $70 million mark by Sunday. If it happens, celebrations are on!

For the unversed, A Quiet Place 2 is at the top with $57.1 million (extended weekend) and Godzilla vs Kong is at the second with $48.1 million, in the post-pandemic era. As of now, it seems like F9 will cross these numbers like a cakewalk.

Speaking of the worldwide collection, F9 stands at $329 million. In China alone, the film has made around $204 million, as per box office mojo.

Helmed by Justin Lin, the film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster in key roles.
