Radhe Shyam has hit it out of the park on its day 1 at the Indian box office. Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, the film has stormed the ticket windows, surpassing last year’s blockbuster Pushpa.
Radhe Shyam released yesterday across the country in five Indian languages- Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Despite the film being a huge one, the marketing was surprisingly dull. It looked there was no seriousness about the film. Nonetheless, it’s Prabhas’ stardom that has done the trick.
Telugu version was always expected to put up a thunderous number on its day 1. However, the Hindi version has performed way below the mark when compared with Prabhas’ recent releases in the Hindi belt. As per the reports flowing in, Radhe Shyam has made 47 crores (all languages nett collection) in India, surpassing Pushpa’s 45 crores.
Take a note that during the time of Pushpa, ticket prices were mandatorily low in Andhra Pradesh as the government had taken control over it. But recently, the government announced easing the pricing of tickets, and Radhe Shyam has been benefitted immensely from it.
Prabhas starter has successfully entered the list of top Indian openers of all time by directly grabbing the 7th spot, by surpassing Pushpa’s 45 crores. It has eliminated Rajinikanth’s Kabali from the list of top 10.
Below are the highest Indian openers of all time:
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion –  121 crores
Saaho – 88 crores
2.0 – 63 crores
War – 53.35 crores
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy – 52.50 croresÂ
Thugs Of Hindostan – 52.25 crores
Radhe Shyam – 47 crores
Pushpa – 45 crores
Happy New Year – 44.97 crores
Baahubali: The Beginning – 44 crores
Interestingly, Prabhas has 4 films in the top 10 Indian openers of all time. It really proves his pan-Indian appeal as an actor.
Radhe Shyam could have managed more numbers than this, but its promotions failed to create any spark. Nonetheless, it’s another thunderous start from Prabhas, the Darling actor!
