Just like 2020, the year 2021 isn’t so good for the Indian film industry as we continue to lose some gems of artists. The latest heartbreaking news is about renowned Tamil actor and comedian, Vivekh, who has breathed his last at 59. Just a few hours back, the actor was declared dead.
On Friday (16th April), he was admitted to SIMS Hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack. He was in critical condition and put on ECMO support. He was admitted at 11 am to the hospital’s emergency ward. He underwent a coronary angiogram and angioplasty. Unfortunately, it couldn’t save his life.
Vivekh is had been part of over 200 movies and was prominently known for his work in Tamil. Among the Hindi audience, he is known for his roles like Rajinikanth’s Mama in Sivaji The Boss and Vikram‘s friend (Chaari) in Aparichit. Considering his contribution to the Tamil film industry, the actor was honoured with Padma Shri in 2009 and the Kalaivannar award by the Tamil Nadu government.
Apart from the work in movies, Vivekh was well known for his social work. He was a follower of the great APJ Abdul Kalam.
Rajinikanth, Samantha and other actors took to social media to mourn Vivekh’s death.
