After the tremendous success of Scam 1992, the team of director Hansal Mehta and others is all set to continue the scam saga by bringing a sequel in the form of Scam 2003. An official announcement of the same has been made a few hours ago.
Applause Entertainment, the studio that helmed Scam 1992, has made it official through a tweet. A picture features Scam 2003 written over it. It’s based on Abdul Karim Telgi who made money by printing counterfeit stamp paper. The scam allegedly accounted for as much as 20,000 crores INR. It will be adopted by a book titled “Reporter Ki Diary” written by journalist Sanjay Singh.
Even Scam 1992 star Pratik Gandhi took to Twitter to share news about Scam 2003: The Curious Case Of Abdul Karim Telgi.

The second season of Scam saga will also be helmed by Hansal Mehta. The cast of the same is still under wraps. Kiran Yadnyopavit and author of “Reporter Ki Diary”, Sanjay Singh, will develop the plot for web series adaptation.

Released in 2020, it has a rating of 9.4 out of 10 with over 83 thousand votes as of now. It’s based on one of the biggest stock market scams in India led by stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
The second position is held by TVF’s Yeh Meri Family that premiered in 2018. It has a rating of 9.1 with over 14 thousand votes. It features Vishesh Bansal, Mona Singh, Akarsh Khurana, Ahan Nirban and others in key roles.
